Last spring we were given some potatoes that were growing sprouts and we planted them and they grew into plants and more potatoes. There were two kinds: yellow and red. In August I dug around the plants and found a few of my biggest potatoes for the fair. Some of my red potatoes won first place. A few weeks later we went out and dug around the plants and found the potatoes that are in this picture. My potato plants grew 19+ pounds.
